An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - which police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
