Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Cut Power Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in the region
The country's power facilities have come under increased strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have caused blackouts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were hurt while local people in the city's east were experienced blackouts and faced disruption to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

At the same time, a minor was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, as reported by regional authorities.

Moscow has increased attacks on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while officials has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the US, European nations and the major economies - in providing air defence systems and implementing restrictions," was stated in a online statement.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were striving to repair systems.

A series of attacks struck electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Regional authorities said the city endured heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A young boy died and three other people were hurt.

The attacks follow nights of aerial attacks in the area, sections of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to identify.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to damage the national power system, with assaults already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and officials were bracing for more assaults.
